Dennis Corbett

Dennis Corbett is a graduate of Boston University where he obtained a degree in business management.

His business background includes entrepreneurial and senior-level management experience in manufacturing and retail settings.  His experience includes  start-ups, turnaround and growth situations, business development, strategic planning and implementation, asset management, and a proven track record of driving market share.  He
excels in financial analysis, sales achievement, business planning and establishing policies, processes and performance monitoring systems in support of continuous improvement.

Some of his former positions included Sr. Vice-President of Marketing & Sales of Lowell Shoe Company that did $105 million in sales.  He oversaw a staff of 65 people and his responsibilities included domestic and international brand development.  Lowell Shoe was subsequently purchased by Berkshire Hathaway and Dennis was promoted
to Sr. Vice-President of Merchandising & Operations.  His duties included inventory management control, customer service and factory scheduling including international sourcing.

In 2005, Mr. Corbett was recruited as COO of Capital Health Clubs to assist President to turn around a $7 million health club chain. Dennis implemented organizational policies and structure while managing day-to-day operations and was accountable for finance and accounting, human resources, IT and operations administered through
550 people.  Key challenges were to upgrade customer service, introduce new reporting systems and reduce operational expenses.  The company was sold in 2006.

In 2006, Dennis co-founded a personal training company named The EFT Group.  This start-up company contracted with independently owned health clubs throughout the Southeast U.S.  The EFT Group provided a custom built personal training program for members of these clubs and it introduced an EFT based payment program that increased EFT billing for clients while tripling the number of PT customers.

In 2007, Dennis co-founded a consultant buisness with Rick Quinn. Helping Health Clubs offers independent club owners consultant services in areas of marketing, business planning, sales training, P&L analysis, business evaluation and introduction of Personal Training programs.
